Dry Time – Some glues dry super fast, in 1-3 seconds. Others take much longer to dry. The dry time of adhesive is also heavily dependent on the temperature and humidity of the room where you do your lashes.

Fumes – Stronger adhesives tend to have stronger fumes, and when you’re stuck in a room for 4 hours with a client, fumes can put a real damper on the experience.

Hold Time – How many weeks can you expect an adhesive to hold the lash extensions in place? Hold time varies for each adhesive, ranging from a few days to several weeks. We always recommend going for longevity to keep those lashes looking lovely as long as possible.

Types of Eyelash Adhesive

There are so many different types of adhesive on the market, and it can be overwhelming to try and comb through them all to find the best ones. So we’ve done the work for you! Here are our top recommendations for adhesive:

Liquid Gold Black – This adhesive is perfect for all types of lashes, so you can use it on all of your clients. It has a dry time of 1-3 seconds and an impressive hold time of 5-7 weeks. With a hold time like that, your clients will stick around for years. Liquid gold black adhesive is latex-free and the very best part, it’s low fume. It’s ideal for dry climates with humidity of 30% or less.

Liquid Gold Clear – A clear version of the liquid gold black adhesive, liquid gold clear doesn’t contain carbon black so it’s ideal for working with colored lashes. This glue dries in 1-2 seconds, and like the black adhesive is low-fume, latex-free, and has a hold time of 5-7 weeks. It’s made specifically for 30%-75% humidity, but it can also be used in lower humidities.

Holy Grail – This glue really is the holy grail of lash adhesive. It’s the perfect glue for more advanced lash artists, and is characterized by it’s super fast dry time of 0.5-1 second. It can be easily used in a range of humidities (15%-75% humidity) and it’s hold time is over 6 weeks! It’s also latex-free, so you don’t have to worry about client allergies.
